Hi there, it’s Kari from That’s Sew Kari. My youngest daughter has loved to play pretend for as long as I can remember. Even now, at 11, I’ll often find her taking care of her babies. Her two favorite are Maddie and Catherine, her realistic dolls. She especially loves that they wear NB size clothing. When I saw the Bumble and Bear collection, I knew I needed to sew a matching collection for her and her babies before she stopped playing pretend.
Bumble and Bear by Sandy Gervais is a whimsical collection of bears, houses and rainbows. I chose 3 prints to mix and match and also ordered both panel sets.
My daughter is wearing PJs – Adelaide Shorts and Laramie Top. The baby is wearing a Darlington Baby Romper with Pasadena Baby Pants underneath. The toddler is wearing Salzburg Baby Overall Dress and an Islington Baby Shirt underneath. All patterns are available from Little Lizard King. They are also wearing bibs from the Bib Panel. I used a few of the blocks from the quilt panel for baby sized pillows and a crinkle toy.
The burp cloth and bib precuts are so easy and cute! I used a new white towel for the backside which is perfect for the tiny messes during feeding time.
