Hi, Friends! It’s Jessica Dayon here and today I’d like to share the January Quilt that I made using Cheerfully Red by Christopher Thompson.
I absolutely adore red and white quilts. So, when I saw this beautiful collection of red and white fabrics, I knew I had to make a quilt with it! Look at these gorgeous prints!
I decided to make the January quilt pattern from my book, ‘A Year in Solids’. I really love making two color quilts and while my book focuses on using solids, the patterns work nicely with prints too.
When I was making this quilt, I decided to use a scrappy method. I cut pieces of each size from each print so that I could use them randomly throughout the quilt. I also added in some coordinating basics from Riley Blake Designs- Blossom in Cayenne, Pin Dot in Red, Floret in White on White, and Blossom Red on White. I also used Confetti Cotton in Riley White.
Red and White quilts are so pretty and they look so nice any time of year! I hoping one day to have a lovely cabinet full of red and white quilt to display and this one will definitely be in there!
So classic!
Thank you for following along with me! I love sharing what I’m up to with other makers and also hearing about what you are making too! You can find more of my projects on my blog and on Instagram @jessicadayon
