I love the engagement social media offers our quilting community. As a designer, it allows me to hear from you what you’d like to see from me. Sometimes it’s a challenge and other times it’s a nice welcome. Midnight Garden is a result of that engagement. My followers requested design a collection with a softer color palette. Midnight Garden’s palette of soft golden yellow, light olive green, springtime blue and rosy pink highlighted with several dramatic black prints to anchor everything, rounds out this gorgeous collection of florals and companion ditsy prints. I hope I hit the mark of a softer color palette with Midnight Garden. You’ll have to let me know what you’d like to see next! Happy Quilting!

Gerri started Planted Seed Designs in 2005 after a career in sales and marketing. She had been quilting for 7 years when she decided she wanted to take the next step and begin creating her own designs.
Planted Seed Designs comes from the part of her that loves a classic, traditional look in fabrics and quilts. She captures that classic feel in her fabric designs by updating reproduction prints in colors and scales that work in today’s home décor. Her quilt designs lean toward the classic, too, with an emphasis on stars and pinwheels, her two favorite block elements.
