Hush Hush 2 – Designer Ornament Project Tour

Hush Hush Volume 2 is officially here! Twenty one various RBD Designers came together and each created ONE low volume design to craft the perfect curated collection of low volume prints. These designs all come together to make the ultimate low volume stash dream!

To celebrate the launch of this new collection we are having a mini ornament project tour with a handful of designers from the collection! The challenge for these projects was that designers must make an ornament using a 3″ embroidery hoop, Hush Hush 2 fabrics, and incorporating EPP, FPP, or traditional piecing to make their ornament.

How fun is that?! Read on for the full schedule of the project tour and to see our ornaments!

Ok, ready to kick the project tour off with our ornaments?! Here we go!

You never really think about how tiny 3″ is until you need to make a quilt block to fit inside of that. I used this challenge to brush up on my FPP skills and make some teeny tiny log cabin blocks!

I used the Sew Tiny Sampler Pattern by Kitty Wilkin for my ornaments, the blocks finished at the perfect size to center in my hoop and then all I did was add some borders.

For the colored fabric I decided to use only scrap pieces I could find on my sewing room floor (lol). I used various Dapple Dot scraps from my RBD Building Blocks that I’ve been making recently. This project is a perfect scrap buster!

These cute little ornaments motivated me to get way ahead of my holiday planning. I am going to use these ornaments for some holiday neighbor gifts!

This lucky neighbor is going to get two handmade goodies! My ornament and two cute placemats that I whipped up from Tara Reed’s latest panel collection. They make perfect gifts.

What’s the perfect thing to gift your neighbor who loves to crochet? Chunky Thread of course! I also had one last Cozy Christmas Gift Bag by Lori Holt from last year to go with this gift.

Hush Hush 2 really is the perfect low volume collection for any project. We can’t wait to see the ornaments that our designers make! Stay tuned and follow along with us. Hush Hush 2 is available now at your favorite local and online retailers.
