After staring at this absolutely adorable retro-inspired “Trick or Treat” fabric designed by Carta Bella for several weeks, I couldn’t hold myself back any longer. I know it’s ninety degrees outside, but oh, how I wanted to play with this fabric!
Take a look at this cute little Halloween child. And the witch! I LOVE the tiny little bat print as well!
I decided to whip up something super quick and easy just to get all of our creative juices flowing as we enter the dog days of summer. This quilt design comes from a FREE pattern thanks to our friends at Fat Quarter Shop. The finished quilt measures about 36″x36″, although I added a small border using one of Riley Blake Designs’ versatile Shades fabrics found HERE, so my quilt measures just a little larger.
This quilt uses our 2.5″ rolie polies, and can seriously come together in an afternoon. How awesome is that?
A quilt this size is perfect to use as a throw or as a lap quilt. Wouldn’t this be a fun service project for a local nursing home or Hospice? Click HERE for the FREE Pattern.
