We asked Melanie about the inspiration behind Primrose Hill, and here is what she said: “As the famous Audrey Hepburn quote goes, “To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” Over the past year, we have spent a lot of time outdoors going for walks and coming home with pockets full of flower petals and interesting leaves. We made nature mandalas, we dried and pressed flowers, and we really enjoyed our surroundings while remaining hopeful for better days ahead. The name of the fabric line, Primrose Hill, is named for the birthplace of Agnes Arber — the first female botanist in the Royal Society in England — and pays homage to all the lovely ladies helping us understand and fully appreciate the beauty all around us.”
Primrose Hill boasts a soft, cheerful color palette in shades of blue, green, wheat, blush, and cream.
Take a closer look at the Main floral print. We love the sweet floral clusters, the tiny white blossoms, and the super itty bitty background blooms. The Main print will be available in Aqua (seen here), Cream, and Blush.
The Field Notes print is a favorite of ours with its subtle background text and scattered leaves and flowers. The design brings to mind a nature journal filled with carefully written notes and drawings. Beautiful! Field Notes will be available in Wheat (seen here), Blush, and Cream.
Everyone loves a good blender print, and this tonal Meadow print is just perfect! The tiny blossoms and blades of grass, and other little drawings add a lovely texture to your project, while the tone-on-tone coloring gives the eye a place to rest. Meadow will be available in Coral (seen here), Teal, and Olive.
