We’re visiting PICCOLO STUDIO today, where Sarah is sharing her beautiful Raw Edge Appliqué Lap Quilt featuring fabric from the Adel in Autumn collection designed by Sandy Gervais of Pieces from My Heart.
This gorgeous quilt pairs appliqué elements with the sweet Aqua Blossom background for a crisp, sunny, autumn inspired design.
After creating a floral border with the Cream Main print and Aqua Blossom basic, Sarah cut out the vase and flower focal point from the Adel in Autumn fabric panel and used fusible webbing to attach it to the backdrop. Next she stitched around all of the little stems and petals before quilting a wave pattern over the entire quilt.
