Hey y’all! It’s Hilary of @byhilaryjordan back again with another gorgeous Riley Blake Fabrics project! I recently had the opportunity to work with the brand new Prairie fabrics by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet. The cheater print I used for the exterior is my absolute favorite, the little chuck wagon and cross stitch Home Sweet Home are just too perfect.
The bag pattern I used is the Noodlehead Makers Tote. It’s an intermediate level pattern and I was able to sew it up in a couple days. I already started using it to hold all my Lori Holt cross stitch projects. It’s the perfect size for my Prim Aurifloss collection, plus a bunch of other cross stitch goodies.
The bag pattern features a separating zipper so it can open fully, an exterior slip pocket & zip pocket, plus interior pleated pockets & slip pockets. The Prairie collection is full of the most darling little prints perfect to coordinate with the main print. When making bags I like to use a light colored fabric for the interior, so white print is the perfect lining fabric.
Prairie is available now at your favorite local quilt shop! Sewing this bag up was so much fun and you can read more in-depth details about the construction on my blog. What are you looking forward to making with Lori’s Prairie fabrics?
