Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing a simple, sweet little project featuring the new Coloring on the Farm fabric collection by Crayola®.
When I was trying to decided what I would make (a quilt, a crayon pouch, pillowcase, pajamas…so many options!) a friend suggested I make the adorable Crepe Scissor Case pattern by Minki Kim. I didn’t have to think twice – I love everything Minki designs.
The pattern is so quick and easy to make, I decided I’d make three to give away to some seriously cute nieces and nephews.
Paired with the Coloring on the Farm fabric, these little scissor cases (I made the small size, the pattern also includes instructions for a larger size) would be a perfect back-to-school gift. They are a great way to protect little fingers from sharp scissors, and they look great!
I loved mixing and matching the fabrics. The main print features all of the fun little farm animals with text. Look at that cute little piggy face peeking over the binding!
The pattern gives you the option to use one fabric for the outside of the scissor case, or you can add a contrasting fabric for the flap, which will show when it folds over the front. Here you can see both options. The smaller scale of the red Chicken Wire print made it a great option for binding, and a perfect contrasting fabric.
You can find the Crepe Scissor Case pattern HERE.
