We’re visiting BAYHILL STUDIO today, where Julia shares her cheater cloth baby quilt featuring fabric from the lovely Adel in Spring collection by Sandy Gervais of Pieces from My Heart.
Who doesn’t need a quick and easy quilt option — and what’s easier than one piece of fabric?! This beautiful “cheater cloth” in tiny pastel plaids and florals looks like meticulously paper-pieced hexagons, but in reality, the entire design is printed directly onto the fabric. This cheater print is fittingly called Grandmother’s Garden. We just love the way the hexagon shapes look like springtime flowers on an off-white backdrop.
Julia wrote on her blog, “I want the parents who receive baby quilts to clearly understand that these can be laundered a thousand times… I don’t want them to see these as a work of art to be kept on a shelf, but a gift to be snuggled and loved until it is totally worn out.” We couldn’t agree more!
You’ll want to take this darling quilt from crib to car and beyond for snuggle time anywhere and everywhere.
Hop on over to Julia’s BLOG for photos and details, and be sure to follow her on Instagram @bayhillstudio for more project ideas and inspiration.
