Hello there! It is Jessica Dayon here to share with you the newest quilt finish that I have- this Mod Stars quilt using Bad to the Bone fabric. It has become a tradition that I make at least one Halloween quilt each year! I love everything that My Mind’s Eye designs and was excited to use their newest collection- Bad to the Bone.
I used Bad to the Bone and some RBD basics and the pattern called Mod Stars by Amanda Neiderhauser to make this quilt.
The RBD basics that I added in with the Bad to the Bone fabric are as follows: Shades in Tangerine, Texture in Pumpkin, Painter’s Watercolor Swirl in Orange, Texture in Black, Swiss Dots in Black, Kisses Tone on Tone in Gray, and Confetti Cotton in Gray. For the backing, I used Texture in Orange.
I had a blast making this quilt! The pattern comes together so quickly and is so enjoyable to make! I upsized the quilt by adding another row and column and even so, this quilt was a fast one to make. The most fun part was choosing the color combination of each block!
I even did something I’ve never tried before! I used glow in the dark thread to quilt this one! It was impossible to get a photo of the thread glowing but it really did glow! I’d highly recommend this fun little touch, especially for a halloween quilt!
I know we are going to enjoy this beauty come autumn and for years and years after that!
Thank you for following along with me today! As always, you can find all of my projects and more on my blog.
