Hello! It’s me Karen from Creamcraft Goods! Christmas time is fast approaching and I’m already ready for all the sweetheart Valentine fabrics out now! This new collection – Be Mine Valentine by J Wecker Frisch is heartfully adorable! It’s no secret that Janet is one of my favorite designers as she always invokes vintage illustrations and designs, which I love! In this collection, the cherubic Edwardian era children are the perfect sweetheart fabric for Valentines making and beyond!
For this project, I created a Flat Pouch Bag for my daughter Rosalie, so she could store her tablet, notebook and pencil on the go. I used the large medium patch panel with children images that surprisingly looked like my Rosalie! I patched it with the pink frames fabric so I could embroider her name and mine to make it even more special. I added eyelet ribbon from my personal collection and added hand embroidered stitching for a sweet touch. I added leather handles and a zipper to keep the pouch handy and all together. I finished off the binding with the cute red and white stripe fabric.
The backside of the pouch showcases the lovely placemat panel in the collection that says Chocolate Bonbons in pink. Perfect for my daughters love of chocolate everything!
I hope you enjoyed my project and it inspires you to create with this beautiful collection! Be Mine Valentine is out now, so check your favorite fabric shop to see if they carry it!
