For this make, I wanted to showcase Blissful Blooms by Lila Tueller. I love the colors in this collection – the navy, the florals, and the foliage just go together really well.
I decided to try out a more intricate quilt pattern. I chose the Flyover Quilt by Melissa De Leon Mason. It’s an intermediate pattern and sizes at 60″ x 60″. I wanted to give myself a challenge with this quilt and I feel like it was the perfect fit for me to stretch my quilt piecing muscles.
I used Blissful Blooms Main, Floral, Blossoms, and Damask in Navy. I also used Confetti Cottons in Navy. I picked Tonal in Purple to showcase the bias cut binding.
To quilt this piece, I chose a Karlee Porter design that I was testing out for another quilt and it actually worked out to be perfect for this quilt as well!
The Blissful Blooms collection is so colorful and reminds me of the beginning of Spring and warmer weather days.
Staying true to my Sewl Sister signature style, I decided to piece the back of my quilt using Vines in Navy and scraps of leftover fabric from the Navy palette as well.
I absolutely loved this make and I definitely feel like my personal challenge paid off. I hope you get to stretch your sewing muscles with this beautiful fabric line, Blissful Blooms by Lila Tueller.
