We are “drooling” over Melissa Mora’s new Blooms & Bobbins collection!
We are so crazy about this collection that we decided to add one more bonus project to the already packed Blog Tour — an adorable little drool bib!
The watercolor florals and the scrumtious color combination makes this fabric line a timeless beauty!
Aren’t these colors delicious?!
I recently came across the Knotted Pass-Through Baby Bib Tutorial at DELIA CREATES, and I knew right away I wanted to make a version of this.
Delia’s version features a classic baby bib shape. The beautiful florals in Blooms & Bobbins inspired me to alter the shape into this sweet little scallop, creating a more feminine look that can be worn throughout the day as a cute way of catching all of that messy teething drool!
What I love most about Delia’s bib design is this knotted pass-through feature. So easy and unique!
I tried backing a few bibs with some organic terry cloth, which is definitely tricker to work with than Delia’s all cotton version, but super cute and gives an extra bit of absorbency to the bib.
I do love the look of the terry backing, but using Delia’s cotton version with a contrasting cotton back is just as fun and makes it reversible, which is always a great idea!
