We have a FABulous quilt to share with you today! We paired the Fair Isle Knit Quilt Pattern by Sara Made with fabric from the Bountiful Autumn collection by Stacy West of Buttermilk Basin, and we’re in love!
Isn’t it breathtaking?! We can’t get enough of the warm, toasty fall colors in this fabric line.
The traditional floral and geometric prints in charcoal, black, orange, taupe, rust, and cream are absolutely gorgeous.
The Fair Isle Knit Pattern by Sarah Made can be found HERE. The finished measurements on this pattern are 70 1/2″ x 82 1/2″. We used the Easy Piecing Grid by Ten Sisters Handicraft (found HERE), which made piecing all of the little squares a snap! However, doing so also expanded the size of the quilt — our finished quilt measures 100″ x 108″.
If you need a break from half square triangles and flying geese, this quilt is for you. It’s a straight line and squares, which makes it just the thing for perfecting your skills at nesting seams.
Here is a closer at the beautiful fabrics.
For the quilt back and binding, we used our tone on tone Black Daisy basic. The rich black color provides the perfect contrast and frame for the earthy colors of Bountiful Autumn.
We live in the Southwest, so of course, we seriously can’t get enough of this fun and versatile Southwestern quilt design.
