Hi Makers! It’s Lisa Jo of Neverlandstitches back with another project. This time around this is a project near and dear to my heart. Just in case you were not aware, February is American Heart Month, which presents a great opportunity to spread awareness about heart disease. My fifth grandchild was born with ventricular septal defect (VSD) which is a hole in the heart. We are hoping that it will close it’s self by the time she turns one later this autumn.
For this Box of Hearts baby quilt, I was honored to be able to use Cheerfully Red by Christopher Thompson. He designed the fabric collection, Cheerfully Red using inspiration from the quilt club The Cheerful Ladies Club, which members included several of the women in his family. You can read more about this stunning collection on the blog post here.
This collection was absolutely the perfect choice to make this sweet quilt for our heart baby. The pattern not only includes the baby size, but also include a lap throw and one to fit on a bed.
If you’s like to make your own version of Box of Hearts Quilt, the pattern is available in my Etsy shop.

Until next time…I hope you always find something around you that inspires your creativity…
