Hello Riley Blake fans, Tina Curtis of Tina1802 back again to talk about a new project that I couldn’t resist making in the new line by Carina Gardner for Riley Blake Designs named Ciao Bella.

When I saw this fabric line it brought me back to my South Carolina roots. I love the toile inspired fabrics and big bright florals. I wasn’t sure what I would make with these but then I popped into The Quilty Shop and saw an adorable sample of Cut Loose Press Vinyl Mesh Market Bag using a stiff mesh!
The stiff mesh paired with regular quilting cotton gives the tote bag great body and structure! Who is ready to see?!
A little bit of top stitching with my favorite Aurifil colors gave a great and fast effect! The straps can be made out of corresponding fabric or if you have a nice looking webbing- you can use that easy peasy!

This bag is wonderful because it stays open all by itself with the structure of the vinyl. One of the things that I love about this particular pattern is the bottom is completely vinyl- perfect to carry groceries or go to the Farmer’s Market in the spring!
I hope you enjoyed seeing this beautiful fabric in these market bags, and if you make one tag me!

Happy making, for more Tina Creations follow me at Tina1802 or signup for my newsletter on my website to stay up to date!
