Arid Oasis is my best effort to showcase the huge variety of both shapes and color among succulents in a single collection, as well as an exploration of the hardiness and self-sufficient nature of the plants. Their ability to thrive in climates where most plants perish, as well as in the homes of modern city dwellers, is paid homage through a color study of earthy terra-cotta hues, bold pastels, and both vibrant and opaque greens. I hope you find them as inspiring as I do!

Hi! My name’s Melissa Lee, and I’m an illustrator and surface designer living in the hilly forests of Northern California. Alongside doing freelance and art licensing work, I’ve spent much of my time cultivating my love of sharing what I know and encouraging others to nourish their creative side through teaching online art courses on Skillshare and Teachable. I love making patterns, character art, and watercolor paintings.
