Collection Preview – Kringle

Sending you the warmest of wishes for the holiday season is Kringle, Teresa Kogut’s latest designer fabric collection. In her folk-art style we all adore, Kringle features the “right jolly ole’ elf,” his delightful reindeers, oh-so cute snowmen, poinsettias, stripes and polka dots that look like a soft wintery snow fall.

Gold, red, green, and charcoal make a gorgeous palette for this holiday collection. What do you think you would create with it? We have some ideas!

Designer:

Teresa Kogut

All through my childhood I dreamed of becoming an artist. I’m grateful to be living out that dream with the support and encouragement of my family and friends.

I became a full time artist in 1992. The desire to start a family and work from home was the driving force in my decision to quit my job and start my own business. We founded Primitive Folk, Inc. in 1994 and sold my framed watercolor prints to gift shops across the nation which led me to licensing my art in 1997.

Years later while attending quilt market, I discovered and fell in love with punch needle embroidery. In 2005 I attended my first wholesale show selling punch needle and cross stitch patterns to needlework shops which is the bulk of the business now. I also offer online tutorials teaching punch needle and painting.

I married my best friend, Kevin, in 1988. He has supported my creative endeavors every step of the way. He helped me build Primitive Folk back in the 90s and just recently retired from the sheet metal building trade to come work with me full time at Teresa Kogut’s Creative Whims, Inc. We’ve raised three amazing children together and we’re thrilled to be grandparents to Ellery and Easton who we watch every Thursday.
