Once again Janet Wecker Frisch pays homage to antique illustration in her new collection, Mad Masquerade. A longtime admirer of John Tenniel’s work, Janet aspired to push select images even further toward perplexity for an even edgier feel and appeal than the classic originals. These digitally enhanced treasures combined with Janet’s collection of trade card advertising ephemera, added just the right touch.
The art is this collection is unbelievable and it’s even better in person!! Need some inspiration to create? The storyboard includes 3 patterns for the collection and two are free! The first is this amazing appliqué quilt that Janet & her daughter Katie designed. You may recognize that cat character as Janet’s Cat Man Dude!
