Cindy here, and I am thrilled to be on day 1 of the Farm Girl Vintage Sew Along blog tour. This book is jam packed with adorable blocks and patterns in Lori’s signature scrappy style. Make a few blocks or make them all and the end up with one amazing quilt. (FYI Lori’s original Farm Girl Vintage quilt featured on the cover will be displayed at our booth at Quilt Market in Minnesota and yes we will be giving 50 copies away of this book for free at quilt market- Saturday at 4pm).

I Love this scrappy block, it is so easy to create with Lori’s step by step instructions.

Lucky for me I have some sample yardage of Lori’s new fabric collection, Modern Mini’s. And now I just have to square up my 12 x 12 block.

About the fabric, the main print from Modern Mini’s, has over 60 different small (3 3/4inch) pattern prints.

After cutting these blocks up I have all these cute fabric squares from one bolt of fabric. So many options!
Lori is known for patterns that use a lot of scrappy prints and I am ready to make more blocks!

I have always been a big fan of Lori’s, even before she designed for Riley Blake. She has fantastic quilt patterns and I have made three of her classic quilts.

And since the first block is called Apron Strings…I wanted to show you my Apron Club quilt, which is one of Lori’s first quilt patterns.
