Who grew up playing with Fisher-Price? We all remember the fun little merry-go-round, the little people, each with their own unique characteristics….and who can forget everybody’s favorite….the dog!

The bright rainbow colors in this collection are perfect for creating a happy nursery theme, and they pair perfectly with our bright Riley Blake Basics.

From our Blossom Basics, designed by Christopher Thompson, we used Red, Orange, Zesty Lemon, Green Smoothie, Peacock, Navy, and Eggplant.

The pattern uses 5″ squares, so this is a fabulous pre-cut-friendly quilt. I made the quilt just a little smaller than the pattern. Amy’s quilt measures 38″ x 50″. I made mine 38″ x 38″, but added a 2″ border of Navy Dots, so the finished quilt was closer to 42″ x 42″. The binding fabric is also Navy Dots, blending seamlessly with the border, so your eye can focus on the fun patchwork center.

I alternated the Fisher-Price fabrics with the Blossom Basics throughout the entire quilt. Easy peasy!

Quilting this on my home machine was a snap. I used an orange thread for the front and back, and quilted it in a free-motion stipple design.

The fabric for the quilt back is our wide back Blossom in Red, which coordinates perfectly with the Blossom fabrics on the quilt front.

The bright colors are visually stimulating for tiny eyes, and the fabrics are oh soooo cute!
