We are excited to share a FREE pattern with you today featuring Uni the Unicorn!
Uni the Unicorn is a story about a land where unicorns are the norm and little girls are believed to be mythical creatures. Uni is like all the other unicorns. She had a swirly horn, a magnificent mane, and the magical ability to make wishes come true. “But there was one thing that definitely set Uni apart. Uni believed that little girls were REAL.” Although laughed at and dismissed for her beliefs, she dreams of what friendship with a human girl would be like.
The story is authored by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and illustrated by Brigette Barrager. We are thrilled to see the charming story and illustrations translated to fabric in delicious colors and one-of-a-kind artwork.
The FREE QUILT PATTERN is super easy to make – perfect for beginning quilters. It features a 36″ x WOF fabric panel + three simple strip borders. The finished quilt measures 58″ x 65″.
We used the White Unicorn Stars, Purple Unicorn Flowers, and the Light Pink Unicorn Toss prints for our borders. Cute!
For the quilt back, we used the Pink Unicorn Toss, which is a shade darker than the Light Pink Unicorn Toss we used on the front.
We quilted it with a lovely all over swirl and stars design. Perfect! This would make such a lovely, and personal gift for Uni fans of all ages.
