We are totally smitten with Dani Mogstad’s newest collection, I’d Rather Be Glamping! Each print is loaded with charming illustrations and vivid color!
I’m not a camper, and I don’t own a glamper, so my idea of glamping is sipping hot cocoa in front of my cozy fireplace while watching a good movie. That counts, right?
These Mug Cozies are the perfect glamping accessory and they couldn’t be easier to make! I found the FREE tutorial HERE and made just a few small changes.
To add a little more structure and give my mug cozy a finished look, I added some simple quilting to it by stitching 1/4″ on either side of each seam. I did this after pressing the fusible fleece to the back of the strip piece, and before sewing the front and back pieces together.
After turning the cozy right side out and pressing, I also added two lines of top stitching around the edge. Again, this was just my personal preference to give it a more finished look.
Instead of standard sized buttons, I used large 1 1/2″ buttons. I think they add a fun, decorative touch.
These are a great way to use up your scraps and show off multiple prints in a fabric collection. Such a fun and easy gift idea!
