Today we’re visiting BAYHILL STUDIO, where Julia is sharing two fun Drawstring Bags featuring fabric from the I’d Rather be Playing Chess collection designed by Tara Reed.
These bags are so fun! Julia used fabric from the I’d Rather be Playing Chess fabric panel to create the larger bag, which is designed large enough to store all of the game pieces.
Here you can see the full fabric panel, which consists of four sections that can be cut up into large quilt blocks, made into pillows and bags, or just keep them as-is and add a border or two to make a super fun quilt!
The smaller bag features the black and white Checkerboard print, and is the perfect size for gift giving or storing little trinkets and treasures. CUTE! The fabulous bottom corner detail and exposed lining at the top of the bag really sets it apart. To make these bags, Julia used the FREE tutorial found at APPLE GREEN COTTAGE. Hop on over to Julia’s BLOG for photos and details, and be sure to follow her on Instagram @bayhillstudio for more project ideas and inspiration.
