It’s Week 3 of PATCHWORK & POODLES Inkling Quilt Along! We are so excited about this quilt along, which features Beauty and the Beast fabric designed by Jill Howarth.
This week, we are making the first three blocks of our quilt! Eliane provides lots of helpful tips and ideas in her newsletter. Last week, she discussed two options for assembling the quilt, along with a helpful video.
Because the block is basically a nine patch, you can mix and match the various units of the block however you want.
Here is a look at our first three blocks. We love how the colors in Jill Howarth’s Beauty and the Beast collection mix and compliment each other.
The deep eggplant center is such a beautiful parter to the soft pinks and greens in this block, don’t you think?
Our first three blocks are complete, and we are ready to get a start on the next set!
Here is a look at Eliane’s blocks. She incorporated Christopher Thompson’s Blossom Basics into her quilt design. The Blossom print gives the eye a place to rest and adds a fun pop of color at the same time.
