We are absolutely smitten with Jill Finley’s newest fabric collection, It’s the Berries!
The simple, yet vibrant color palette is holds a timeless appeal — working well in both traditional and modern projects.
You’ll spot sweet strawberries, bold plaids, dainty dots, traditional ticking stripe, and folksy cross-stitch designs — all in red, white and black. Isn’t it gorgeous?
It would be fun to make a red and white quilt for a Scandinavian feel, or a black and white quilt for a super modern look, but this time around I opted to mix everything up to show off every single design.
LOVE this look! The FREE PATTERN for this Cobblestone Quilt comes from Fat Quarter Shop. I made this quilt smaller than the pattern calls for. The adjustment was easy – simply leave out a few of the blocks to shorten the length of the quilt. My finished quilt measures approximately 63″ x 63″.
I quilted it with my usual straight-ish lines. I don’t look for exactness, but instead just sew the rows and let the bendy lines happen if they want to.
I backed the quilt with our Large Black Hashtag on White. This is a fabulous low-volume print for a quilt back. It compliments the fabric collection without stealing the show.
The binding is Riley Blake Confetti Cotton in Riley Black. The simple black solid fabric frames the quilt perfectly.

The quilt pattern is a FREE Download from Fat Quarter Shop called FAT QUARTER COBBLESTONE QUILT. The quilt is easy to make. I think a beginner could handle this quilt, although he/she may require just a little help in cutting and laying out the pieces in order to keep them all organized correctly.
