Who doesn’t love soft, cozy flannel in everything from blankets to pajamas? Did you know flannel is also great for clothing? I love using it for shirts, jacket linings, and even dresses!
Christopher Thompson’s “Jingle Jangle” flannel fabric line, with it’s fantastically quirky cool Santas and reindeer, has been calling my name.
I knew right away I had to pair these fabrics with a fun vintage shirt sewing pattern I have been wanting to play with.
I love how the glasses theme and the little bits of red tie these two prints together.
The perfect shirt for this super cool and very energetic little man!
Now, I couldn’t just stop there and call it a day. Big sister needed a coordinating dress! I used the Oliver + S Ice Cream Dress pattern. This makes a great cool weather play dress, or lengthen it for a cute little nightgown.
I love the simple lines, which are perfect for heavier flannel fabric.
The blocking was also a great way to showcase the fun fabric designs. Aren’t those Santas the best?!
