Land of the Brave – Giant Star Picnic Quilt

Hello! Laura here from Slice of Pi Quilts! I LOVE making quilts that have a wow factor, but also go together quickly. And this giant star picnic quilt is exactly that!

I chose four blue prints and four red prints from the Land of the Brave collection to make the giant star. The mix of florals, stars, plaid, and text prints give me so many heart eyes!

Those eight fat quarters plus two yards of solid white made the whole quilt top! Each triangle is about 17″ across, making the finished quilt about 68″ square – a perfect picnic quilt size!

I was able to use the scraps to make the binding too!

This is one quilt that will get lots of use in the summer with our family! My boys always take a quilt to the park to watch our city fireworks on the Fourth of July, and this will be perfect for this year’s festivities!
