Hi Makers! It’s Lisa Jo of Neverlandstitches back to share with you a new pattern, A Trippin’ Quilt. The pattern is a bit of a twist on the traditional trip around the world, but first let’s chat about this beautiful and inspiring new collection by Echo Park Paper, Let’s Create.
Look at this stunning color palette and beautiful prints. The color palette includes pink, coral, peaches n’ cream, mint, hunter, sky, oxford, and denim. The prints are beautiful florals and maker icons like scissors, washi tape, embroidery hoops, and some sweet surprises. This collection is sure to inspire your creativity.
All thing creative inspired A Trippin’ Quilt pattern, which is a giant modern twist of a trip around the world traditional quilt block. The blocks are large and the center is simplified.
I backed the quilt with Lori Holt’s Bee Gingham in coral and then used the mint washi tape print for the binding. Using the washi tape print as binding is almost a cheat as it gives the illusion of a striped binding.
f you’d like to make your own version of A Trippin’ Quilt, pick up your favorite prints from the Let’s Create collections from your favorite quilt shops and the pattern from my Etsy Shop.
