Lucy’s Garden, designed by Patty Young, is a bold, vibrant collection of color and pattern that is as versatile as it is beautiful!
The designs lend themselves to projects for the home, apparel, quilting, and craft.
I fell in love with the fuschia, purple and green tones, and decided to pair them with Riley Blake Confetti Cotton and Gingham for a sweet little baby quilt.
I used the QUILTY STARS pattern by Quilty Love. It was easy to follow and makes the most adorable patchwork star blocks that can be used for quilts from baby all the way to king size.
The pink and purples in Lucy’s Garden paired beautifully with the Riley Blake Baby Pink Gingham and the Petunia and Riley Lilac Confetti Cottons.
The color combination is bright and cheerful without sacrificing the sweet innocence we love in a baby quilt.
I quilted in simple straight lines, although any quilting design would look beautiful here.
The binding is Riley Blake Sweet Mint Confetti Cotton, and the quilt back is Bubblegum in Shades Basics.
The patchwork design is a great way to show off all of the beautiful prints. Notice the little deer in the stripe print. Aren’t they fun?
