Hello, Everyone! It’s Jessica Dayon here and today I’d like to share the Fly the Flag quilt that I made using Picadilly by Amanda Castor. In case you don’t know me, you can find my blog at Jessica Dayon and you can follow me on Instagram @jessicadayon.
This fabric collection is full of red, white, and blue gorgeousness! It is perfect for all of the patriotic quilts that you’d like to make this year! Have a look at the prints!

I decided to make the Fly the Flag quilt pattern by Amy Smart. This quilt pattern is fun, quick, and gorgeous. I love how you can really personalize it. For the blue portion of the flag, you can make it one print or you can make a quilt block. Amy has included a variety of blocks to fit in that spot or you can use any you like! I chose to do a mix of print squares as also blocks for the blue portion of each flag.

I paired Picadilly by Amanda Castor with some RBD basics. For the blocks (in addition to the Picadilly) in this quilt, I used the following RBD basics: Pin Dot in Denim, Sparkler in Dark Denim, Sparkler in Navy, Shabby in Barn Red, and Bee Cross Stitch in Barn Red. For the sashing and borders of the flags, I used the following basics: Sparkler in Lake Blue, Chambray in Light Indigo, Chambray in Blue, Confetti Cotton in Boy Blue, and Confetti Cotton in Riley Medium Blue.
