This quilt uses Riley Blake Designs’ Confetti Cottons. For this quilt, you will need:

  • 3/4 Yard C120 Petal Pink
  • 1/2 Yard C120 Peony
  • 3/8 Yard C120 Rose
  • 3/8 Yard C120 Raspberry
  • 2-3/4 Yards C120 Riley White

First thing to do, is cut the fabric into strips. Measurements and instructions for cutting are included in the free pattern download.

After cutting the fabric into strips, I cut it into squares. This quilt gets it’s pixelated look with the use of squares. LOTS and LOTS of squares. Just remember as you are cutting, it will be worth it in the end, and seriously just go ahead and give yourself an entire afternoon to do this part.

Now, I’m ready to start piecing together the first block. But not until next week. Because cutting hundreds of squares was all I could manage this week. Baby steps, people, baby steps.

Don’t forget you can download the FREE pattern HERE.

Now run out and get your fabric and start cutting! Join me next week as we begin to make this look like something. Have a great weekend!
