Today’s stop on our Ready Set Splash! Project Tour takes us to DIARY OF A QUILTER, where Amy is sharing a tutorial for her Patchwork Baby Quilt featuring Ready Set Splash fabric designed by Sandy Gervais.
Amy made two versions of her patchwork baby quilt — this one featuring the friendly frogs and critters from the adorable Ready Set Splash! collection.
We LOVE the cool tones in this fabric line. The various shades of blue, green and coral play beautifully together, creating a palette that is fresh, cheery, and that really makes a splash!
Amy’s patchwork baby quilt proves that quilts don’t have to be complicated to be fabulous. The charm of patchwork is that when you mix up prints and colors in a random pattern gives quilts a scrappy, snuggly feel don’t you think?
Here is a closer look at some of the cute prints. We have bubbles, dots, frogs, ducks, fish, plaids, suns, and even beach balls!
Amy used the Cream Dots print for the quilt back. Cute!
She finished off the quilt with a simple all-over stipple design. We love stipple for its simplicity, versatility, and for the lovely sense of movement it adds to any quilt.
