Hello, my friends! It’s Jessica Dayon and today I’d like to share about two quilts I made using Ride the Range by Tara Reed. Tara designed this beautiful collection as a tribute to a trip she took to a dude ranch. There are prints and panels in the collection. Here is a look at the prints-
In addition to the prints, there are four panels that are part of this collection. I chose two panels and used each one to make a quilt. The first panel I chose is called Three of a Kind.
The second panel I chose to use is called Going Home.
Two of my daughters absolutely adore horses and I knew they would go crazy for these fabrics and panels. I used the free pattern written by Riley Blake Designs called Three of a Kind Panel Quilt by The RBD Designers.
I wanted the quilts to be very, very similar with only a few differences. The differences in each quilt are the panel I used, the colors I used to make the stars, and the border color. Everything else is the same.
For the Going Home Panel version, I used the exact fabric called for in the free pattern (except I used the Going Home panel here instead of the Three of a Kind panel).
For the second quilt, I used the Denim Paisley and the Gold Fence to make the stars.
I bordered this quilt with the Brick main print.
These panels and prints are stunning. The panels have so much depth and detail. I’m so happy with how they turned out! Here is a look at each one again-
