Hello! It is Jessica Dayon here to share a lovely quilt I finished up recently. Sense & Sensibility is the follow up to the original Jane Austen collection. It has beautiful, classic prints that were taken directly from the Jane Austen quilt. Sense & Sensibility is the first of six collections that correspond to each of Jane Austen’s six novels. Here is a look at the collection-
The quilt I chose to make was inspired by a quilt called Michael’s Victories from the book Civil War Legacies. That quilt was actually a mini quilt so I sized the blocks up to turn it into a small throw sized quilt. I made my blocks measure 6″ finished. My quilt measures 48.5″ x 60″.
I used Confetti Cotton in Cloud for the background. For the backing, I used Le Creme Swiss Dot in Black.
I love how the prints in these 6″ blocks look against the white background. Each of these prints is so gorgeous! Here is a closer look at some of them-
