The quilt features the stunning new Serenity collection, designed by the lovely and talented Gerri Robinson.
This is a tonal collection, with intricate florals ranging from rich black to soft creams and taupes.
Missouri Star Quilt Co.’s tutorial uses 10″ pre-cuts, and couldn’t be easier to follow. Really! This would be a great quilt for a beginner because the end result is so eye catching and looks much more complicated than it really is.
Here is a closer look at some of those beautiful florals, which range from the larger scale roses all the way down to dainty little blossoms.
I used a 2.5″ strip of Honey Confetti Cotton for one of my borders to give a big pop of color. I love the contrast. It adds a slightly modern touch to these delightfully traditional florals.
I used the Serenity Main Black floral for the quilt back. Those roses are too amazing not to show off some more!
