The Sew Simple Shapes Remix for the month of September is here!
Remember, there’s no pattern, no sew-along, no finished quilt, just fun motivation to get your creative juices flowing. You’ll be inspired to gather your Sew Simple Shapes and make all the cute things!
For September’s remix, Lori created her block using the following:
- Sew Simple Shapes: Granny’s Garden (I21 and I25)
- Fabric: Lori used various collections to make this remix scrappy.
- Background Square is 9 ½” x 9 ½” Unfinished (Lori will share more detail in this week’s YouTube tutorial.)
For a quick reference on the size of fabric and interfacing to cut for particular Sew Simple Shapes, we’ve compiled the cutting guides HERE. Bookmark or print this handy guide for future reference.
We created our block using the following:
- Sew Simple Shapes: Granny’s Garden (I21 and I25)
- Fabric: We used a autumnal mix of Shabby by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet as well as Toweling by Stacy West of Buttermilk Basin Design Co. to make our remix project. Shabby and Toweling are available now at your local quilt shop or favorite online retailer.
These pinwheels are so fun and addicting to make! Share your version of the remix and tag us @rileyblakedesigns, @beelori1 and use #sewsimpleshapes or #sewsimpleshapesremix. We can’t wait to see what you make!
You can head over to Lori’s YouTube CHANNEL this Friday to see how she made this month’s remix. You’re going to love it.
