Hello there and happy almost spring ….. Tina here from Emily Ann’s Kloset to share some quilty inspiration with all of you.
The weather sometimes doesn’t match up with the seasons ….. but in two more weeks Spring Equinox will be here & what better time to start make something cute with this yummy Shabby Strawberry fabric by Emily Hayes for Penny Rose Fabrics.
The pattern I used for this quilt is called Cross Stitch by Gigis Thimble ….. and as a stitcher ….I just HAD to make a quilt by the same name.
I added in the sweetest yellow gingham & a few solids because they played so well with Shabby Strawberry.
And ….. finally red Swiss dot for the backing & binding. Yes …. you read that right. Sometimes, I like to use the same fabric for the backing and binding. There’s just something so simplistic about it.
