We are beyond excited to share a quilt that has been in the works for some time now!
This stunning Spring Equinox Quilt was made by our talented Design Office manager, Mindy, and we have been itching to share her finished work!
You may recall, in April we shared her progress as she finished her FIRST BLOCK of the Spring Equinox Quilt. We thought it was brilliant, but as the quilt came together, our minds were completely blown!
Mindy used Riley Blake Shades Basics, along with a splash of Gold Sparkle Kisses, for all of her tulip petals and leaves. She used Confetti Cotton in Black for the background. We love how the solid black background makes the spring colors pop!
We love how the shades, with their subtle color variations, add a bit of texture to the quilt.
There are nine blocks total, and all are exactly the same, except for one in the lower corner – notice the blue leaves on that tulip. What a fun, unexpected splash of color.
Set against the black backdrop, the flowers have the appearance of stained glass, don’t you think?
We can’t share this quilt without taking a closer look at the incredible quilting that was done on it. The attention to detail is just stunning!
The quilt pattern is called Spring Equinox by TARALEE QUILTERY.
