Hi Makers! It’s Lisa Jo of Neverlandstitches. I am back to share how to incorporate portions of panels into your quilt top. I used the Simply Country by the very talented Tasha Noel. I worked portions of the quilt panel into my Mixing Bowl Quilt.
Before we get into the quilt top, let’s look at this new stunning blue and white collection designed by Tasha Noel. This collection holds true to her love of hand-drawn designs and all things country-style. Fresh breezy blues, barn scenes, quilt stars, sweet florals, classic ginghams and ticking stripes will take you back to a simpler time.
I used the navy and denim main prints, the country florals along with a number of the various white prints. For the back of my quilt is used Dainty Daisy in navy and the binding in Denim Blossom which tied everything together.
I fussy cut the collection’s Country Stars Panel into nine 6 1/2 inch squares. I used these nine fussy cut squares in place of the first four sections of the quilt block. Choose the sections of the panel which you like. I wanted a mix of the barns and the stars. This collection used in this quilt makes me think summer picnics or a tea party on the lawn.
If you’d like to make your own version of the Mixing Bowl Quilt using Simply Country, the pattern is available in my Etsy shop. Also, grab the Simply Country from your favorite quilt shop and don’t forget to get the panel to speed things along.
