South Hill – Shadow Stars Quilt

Hi Makers! It’s Lisa Jo of Neverlandstitches with a twist on an previously released quilt pattern. More about that later. First of all let’s look at this sunning new collection from Fran Gulick of Cotton and Joy, South Hill.

I absolutely fell in love with the color palette of navy, fog, sugar pink, rose, blush, cream silver, raspberry, and dusk. The prints in the collection include a stunning main floral print, freesias, toadstools, cute little squirrels, moons and stars, and stripes (perfect for binding your quilt).

I used my quilt pattern Shadow Stars and made some modifications to the original pattern to create this project. The pattern has been updated to include this version which changes the original block from 16-inches to 20-inches. I adore a nontraditional background fabric and was thrilled to be able to use Gray Shabby as the background.

For some reason, the floral main print in this collection reminded me of Sleeping Beauty. Therefore, I could not resist making the backing of the quilt with half Pink Kisses and Denim Blossoms. I may have found a magical pantograph to top off the quilt magic.

If you’s like to make your own version of Shadow Stars, the pattern is available in my Etsy shop.
