Hey friends! Gail here from Sunflower Seams Pattern Company. Today I am so excited to share with you my precious make using the new Sunshine & Dewdrops collection by Sandy Gervais!
I am very into ditsy florals so when I saw this collection I knew I had to get my hand on one of the super cute ditsy prints. I chose to work with the ditsy floral in the sky colorway and I just love it so much!
This print has such a perfect spring vibe that I knew I wanted to use one of our more spring-like patterns. I decided to go with our Lavender pattern which can be made as a tunic set (comes with shorts, not shown here because it’s not quite warm enough yet) or a dress.
Lavender has a pinafore style bodice with ties at the side. I opted to use satin ribbon for my ties rather than making some with the fabric. I love the special feel that the ribbon gives to the whole look.
To finish off that springy vibe I was going for, I opted to add some hand embroidery to the split bodice. What’s more springy than baby lambs? Nothing, that’s what! This lamb crest embroidery is from our Hyacinth embroidery pattern and comes with so many cute motifs that are perfect for spring time.
As you can see, little miss Boo was feeling CUTE. And I’m going to have to agree with her.
Lavender is available on the Sunflower Seams Pattern Company website in children’s sizing, 18m-14years.
Hyacinth Embroidery can be found on the Sunflower Seams Pattern Company website and includes 6 different designs to choose from.
Thank you so much to Riley Blake Designs for providing me with this fabric and for allowing me to share my makes here on their blog.
