Hi Makers! It’s Lisa Jo of Neverlandstitches. I am back to share with you a a remake of my Paid Stars Quilt using The Magic of Christmas by Lori Whitlock.
The Magic of Christmas is whimsical and classical all at the same time. There are Christmas trees, poinsettias, holly leaves, reindeer, candles, snowmen, snowflakes, candy canes, stripes, plaids and of course Santa Claus. The color palette is very traditional holiday colors of reds, greens and whites.
What better way to highlight a collection with these wonderful prints, than to place them in a pattern that creates stars and plaid like blocks. As a little something extra for this quilt I used Christopher Thompson’s Santa Claus Blossom print as the background fabric and then backed the quilt using Red Trees Seasonal Basic. Using the White strips print as the binding seemed to tie everything together.
This is the perfect collection and pattern combination is you want a modern/classic quilt for the holidays.
I quilted the quilt myself on my Q’Nique with a snow storm panto to coordinate with the snow flake print in the collection of fabrics.
If you’d like to make your own version of the Plaid Stars, the pattern is available in my Etsy shop.
