This collection was born from a personal challenge to do something a little different than my usual florals.
I’d long thought about what my take on a nursery collection would be. Something gender neutral, sweet, but also suitable for multiple ages and not just newborns. So much love goes into making quilts for new arrivals that I wanted this collection to be relevant for years after gifting that baby blanket.
A mix of coral, pink, mint and grey are tied together with glittering champagne sparkle. Little teddy bears float in the clouds and capture your heart. Stars twinkle in the sky. Simple coordinates are the perfect blender (or addition to your fabric stash). And though I tried not to, I couldn’t resist a little floral garden of bears amongst the posies.
The collection has 6 prints, including a texture-filled cheater perfect for a quick project. A quilt panel featuring sweet quotes is also available in 2 colourways. View the storyboard here.
There is a free pattern available for download on the Riley Blake website to make this super simple, gorgeous quilt. The panel does all the work for you, all you need to do is add sashing and a border!
I imagine these prints making gorgeous first quilts, clothes and nursery accessories.
