We are always so excited to welcome new artists and designers to the RBD Family! Please join us today in welcoming two new designers and stay tuned for their fabulous debut collections coming in May next year. Be sure to ask your local quilt shop to carrying these two beautiful collections!
Amber Johnson is married, has two children, and a sweet dog named Molly. She has been quilting for about 25 years now. Her grandmother, Delma (whose great grand-children called Gigi) taught her how to quilt and is the namesake of her company, Gigi’s Thimble. Amber is a blogger, two-time author, teacher, and quilt pattern designer.
Feels Like Home is her first fabric collection with Riley Blake Designs. She gathers much of her inspiration while walking and hiking in her beautiful hometown of Alpine, Utah – a quaint town nestled in the mountains. You can follow her on Instagram @gigis_thimble.
Cayla, an illustrator and graphic designer, hails from the picturesque state of Utah. Although she earned a degree in Civil Engineering, her heart has always belonged to the world of design. It wasn’t until she became a stay-at-home mom to two boys, with her husband and two dogs by her side, that she rediscovered her passion.
Her design journey is a reflection of her love for hand-drawn motifs and the magic of storytelling through fabric collections. Surrounded by Utah’s breathtaking landscapes, Cayla finds inspiration in the laughter and adventures of her boys, as well as her enduring love for captivating narratives.
