If you’re hosting a summer barbecue or just tired of hearing your kids complain about their hands getting too cold holding freezer pops – this is the tutorial for you! DIY freezer pop sleeves and holders are so easy to sew up and my July Stars fabrics (part of the Monthly Placemat Panel series) are perfect for the 4th of July.
The first and easiest way is with felt, perfect for a quick project. The second method uses fabric sleeves, which are longer lasting and can be customized with fun patterns and designs. The third is to make fabric wraps, which allow you to access the top and bottom of the freezer pop while keeping your hands from getting too cold. (This is my husband’s favorite – he’d give it two thumbs up if he weren’t holding his freezer pop!)
Whether you’re looking for a simple project or want to create something more durable, these three sewing methods have got you covered. Here’s a video that shows all three methods.
