We are going crazy about the new Painter’s Palette collection by Janet Wecker Frisch! The colors, the texture, the patterns….it’s all amazing!
We love it so much, we were all chomping at the bit for a chance to play with these pretty fabrics. Lacie, who recently discovered a love for paper piecing, found this fun ELEPHANT PATTERN — the perfect choice for showing off a few favorite prints and colors.
And there are so many prints and colors to choose from! Of course, we all recognize the fun Painter’s Palette print in the upper right corner, but did you know Janet has designed a beautiful array of coordinating fabrics? Yes, please!
Lacie turned her elephant into a fun mini quilt. We LOVE how the quilter created a circular design in the background. It gives the illusion of the warmth of the sun radiating across the landscape without there being an actual sun. Fantastic!
Lacie used the Black Posey print for the quilt back and binding.
And that ear is just fabulous, don’t you think? If you love this sweet elephant as much as we do, you can find the pattern HERE.
Painter’s Palette is shipping now and will soon be landing on shelves of local and online quilt shops everywhere. Pre-order yours today to get your hands on one of these beautiful bundles of fabric goodness, and share your makes with us on Instagram using #painterspalettefabric, #rileyblakedesigns, #iloverileyblake, and tag us @rileyblakedesigns.
