Bee Plaids Fabric
When I saw the Bee Plaids line by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet, I just knew I needed to sew up a rainbow. There are so many great prints and such a wide variety of hues, they mix and match beautifully! I decided to make a rainbow of travel accessories. To create vinyl coated fabric for the bottom and lining of the two larger zipper pouches, I used iron-on vinyl. I love that this adds a layer of protection from spills while also helping keep the bottom of your pouches cleaner, longer.
Nesting Travel Pouches
Zipper pouches are so great to help keep all your toiletries, make up and small items organized and together. The Toiletry pouch measures approx. 8″ (w) X 7″ (h) X 3″ (d). The Make Up pouch finishes at approx. 7 1/2″ (w) X 5 1/2″ (h) X 2″ (w). The accessory pouch is a tiny 3″ (w) X 3″ (h) x 1 1/2″ (d). My favorite part of the whole set is that they nest inside of each other when you’re not using them so they don’t take up a ton of space and they are always together when you need them! As I mentioned before, I like to line my Toiletry and Make Up pouches with laminated cotton so they are easy to wipe up if something spills. I also add it to the bottom of the pouch so I can set it down without worrying about it. One other recommendation for the bottom of your pouches- use a darker fabric so that even if it’s not laminated, the dirt will be hidden.

The curling iron sleeve and laundry bag complete your travel set. The curling iron sleeve incorporates InsulBrite so even if your iron is still a bit warm, you can pack it up anyway! The closure on the outside keeps the cord neat and tidy and easy to pack away.
The generous size of the laundry bag makes it great for weekend trips or even longer. A handy hanging loop allows for easy access and the whole bag is fully lined so it’s easy to wash when needed. The drawstring closure keeps everything together so when you get home, you simply empty it out into your laundry basket or straight into your machine.
