It’s Hilary of @byhilaryjordan back again with another sweet project. 🍬 The Celebrate with Hershey collection is a must-have fabric collection for me because my brother and his family live in Hershey, PA! If you’ve never been, it’s an adorable town, Hershey Park is super fun, and the street lights are Hershey Kisses! Ok, back to the fabric. 😉
Halloween is my all time favorite holiday and this collection is the perfect choice for all of your Halloween stitching. The motifs in the prints are so cute plus the panel is to die for!
For my project I chose one of the panels to make a Trick or Treat tote. I quilted the panel simply using Aurifil monofilament thread so as to not distract from the print.
I made the bag BIG for plenty of treats! It finished around 16×16 and has boxed corners on the bottom. I used a polyester batting so there should be minimal shrinkage when the bag inevitably gets washed.
Both of my boys wanted to help out with taking photos, and my youngest has claimed this bag as his. Thankfully I have three more panel sections to make three other bags. The lining for Sam’s bag is the Reese’s print because it’s his favorite candy. 😋
